About The Position

This is a part-time PRN position in Waldron, AR. The Direct Support Professional will provide quality care, direction, guidance, and help to customers with daily activities. This includes assisting with personal care, meal planning, medication management, and household tasks. The role also involves helping customers achieve their goals for improved quality of life and community integration, providing transportation, and serving as a companion. Daily written updates are required using an online platform, and staff must observe customer conditions and surroundings to ensure safety and monitor equipment. The position requires adherence to ICM's mission, policies, and HIPAA regulations, maintaining a clean work environment, and prompt attendance.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Understands and endorses ICM’s mission and vision
• Follows all ICM policies, procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and asks for clarification and explanation when needed
• Understands and complies with all HIPAA regulations
• Maintains a prompt and regular attendance

Responsibilities

• Providing quality care, direction, guidance, and help to customers with daily activities, such as bathing and bathroom functions, feeding, planning menus, dressing, grooming, taking medication and/or administering treatments, and housework.
• Help customers make and keep appointments, provide or arrange transportation to run errands and serve as a companion
• Help customer achieve agreed-upon goals to improve quality of life and integration into the community
• Provide written daily updates of each shift’s activities using an online platform
• Observe the customer’s condition and monitor the surroundings to ensure customer safety and success. This includes monitoring of equipment and materials
• Perform other duties as assigned
