About The Position

We are currently hiring for an awake overnight Direct Support Professional. Schedule is shown below: Week 1 Monday 9p-930a Tuesday 9p-930a Friday 9p-9a Saturday 9p-830a Week 2 Sunday 10p-830a Wednesday 10p-830a Thursday 10p-830a Job Summary: The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides compassionate, hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them live safe, meaningful, and independent lives.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Must be an eligible driver for RRHSF
Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and complete ongoing training requirements.
Strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate, respectful attitude.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to follow care plans and agency policies.
Strong problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with evening routines, including hygiene, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation in their homes.
Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all activities.
Maintain accurate documentation.
Support skill development, communication, and positive social interactions.
Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established procedures.
Work collaboratively with Supervisors, Program Coordinators, families, and team members.
