Requirements

  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent and be at least 18 years old.
  • Relevant experience working with Individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, dual diagnoses, or forensic involvement.
  • A current driver’s license and California automobile insurance coverage for driving a personal vehicle to various community locations.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Individuals with personal needs such as hygiene, changing clothes/adult briefs, and medication reminders.
  • Help Individuals with social needs including meal preparation and cleaning.
  • Engage with Individuals through exercise/movement, games, and transporting them to community activities.
  • Keep accurate progress notes and communicate team information about Individuals' needs.
  • Learn techniques to help Individuals have positive interactions and reach their goals.
  • Participate in all required training, team, and company meetings.
  • Take ownership of personal behaviors and help coach others in demonstrating company C.A.R.E. values (compassion, adaptability, respect, and empowerment).
  • Receive ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Be recognized for personal and team contributions and demonstration of C.A.R.E. values.
