About The Position

Covenant Case Management Services is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and person-centered Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one Community Living Support (CLS) and Respite care for an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). In this role, you will provide personalized weekend care, supporting daily routines, encouraging community involvement, and creating a safe, positive space where the individuals we serve can thrive with purpose.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license and reliable personal transportation (Required).
• Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background screening (Required).
• Dependability, strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine heart for serving others.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of caregiving or direct support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine activities of daily living, personal care, meal preparation, and independence-building goals in the home.
• Guide and accompany the individual during community outings, social activities, and recreation to promote inclusion and connection.
• Partner closely with the individual and their family to understand unique routines, goals, and care preferences.
• Maintain open, reliable communication with our coordination team regarding progress, schedule adjustments, and daily updates.
• Adhere strictly to state care standards, agency health and safety protocols, and personalized care plans.
