About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join their team in Marion, NC. As a special needs caregiver, you will work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities to help them reach their full potential. You will be part of a caring team that values, respects, and hears its employees, with a commitment to investing in people and nurturing their desire to grow. Requirements
- One year experience working with intellectual and development disabilities (training is available through our apprentice program if this experience is lacking)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
- Accompany clients on errands and appointments
- Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
- Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
- Participate in community integration activities
