Damar is looking for passionate Direct Support Professionals to perform a variety of tasks related to the care of Adult clients living in our Damar Villages. Some duties include client supervision and care, crisis management, promoting appropriate social behaviors, and supporting clients in achieving their maximum potential.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 to work in our Community Living and Support Services program
- Be able to provide formal proof of a high school diploma or GED
- Possess a valid Indiana driver’s license and good driving record
- Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
- Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of appropriate daily living, self-help and social skills
- Help maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Provide support to clients and their community-based goals
- Respond to and manage crisis situations
