About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join their team in Centre County, PA. As a DSP, you will work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) to help them live more independent, purposeful lives. You will teach them to do things for themselves, helping them live better lives at home and in their communities.

Requirements

• One year experience working or volunteering with intellectual and development disabilities
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming, basic hygiene)
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities
