About The Position
A 16-year-old individual in Cicero, NY is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist them with activities such as working out and playing basketball at the YMCA. The role also involves providing support for the individual to access peer-related groups. This is a part-time position, with potential for additional hours supporting other individuals receiving services at the agency. The ideal candidate will be active, enjoy fitness and basketball, be open-minded, and willing to provide support.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
- Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills.
- No experience required.
- New York State Driver's license.
- Reliable transportation.
- Proof of auto insurance.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.

- Experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
