About The Position

The Direct Support Professional provides quality care, direction, guidance, and assistance to customers with daily activities, including bathing and bathroom functions, feeding, menu planning, dressing, grooming, taking medication or administering treatments, and housework. The role helps customers make and keep appointments, provides or arranges transportation for errands, and offers companionship. The professional supports customers in achieving agreed-upon goals to improve quality of life and community integration. The position also requires providing written daily shift updates through an online platform, observing customers’ conditions, monitoring surroundings and equipment to support safety and success, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understand and endorse ICM’s mission and vision.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
• Demonstrate quality decision making, effective communication, superior problem solving, interpersonal effectiveness, receptiveness to feedback, a positive work ethic, the ability to instill trust, and administrative effectiveness.

• Follow ICM policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures, and seek clarification when needed.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
