About The Position
Merakey is a non-profit provider of developmental, behavioral health, and education services. We are seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our team in our Coraopolis, PA location. This role is ideal for Caregivers, Direct Care Workers, or Home Health aides, or those interested in entering these fields. The position involves following Individual Support Plans to mentor and coach individuals, helping them achieve goals, and teaching daily living activities such as personal care, housekeeping, and laundry. Employees will spend time in a variety of settings including parks and sensory gardens to help individuals work on social and communication skills.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities
- Follow the Individuals Support Plan to encourage, mentor, and coach individuals.
- Work on social and communication skills in various settings.
- Foster a sense of pride and independence in individuals.
- Teach individuals to navigate daily living activities, including personal care, housekeeping, and laundry.
- Assist with daily and personal activities to enhance the independence of those you work with.
