About The Position
Merakey is seeking mission-driven, compassionate, and reliable individuals to join their team in Philadelphia, PA. in their IDD Division. This role involves supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them build independence, develop social and communication skills, and navigate daily living activities. The position offers a chance to be a mentor, coach, and advocate, making a difference in the lives of others.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred
- Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation
- Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills
- Provide community support, transportation
- Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support (as trained)
- Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs
