About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join their team in Warminster, PA. This role involves creating long-term impacts on consumers' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. Responsibilities include following Individual Support Plans, working on social and communication skills, and assisting with daily hygiene, personal care, and daily living activities like housekeeping and laundry to enhance independence.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred

Responsibilities

• Following the Individual Support Plan
• Working on social and communication skills
• Enhancing independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care
• Teaching individuals to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry
