About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their team at their program in Richmond, VA. This role involves encouraging, mentoring, and coaching individuals to achieve their goals, fostering pride by teaching daily living activities like housekeeping and laundry. The work is performed under the supervision of the House Manager, with a focus on enhancing independence by assisting with daily and personal activities. Merakey is a leading developmental, behavioral health, and education non-profit provider with a fifty-year history, offering integrated services across the country. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
