About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join its Individual and Community Services team in Clayton, North Carolina. The role supports individuals in their homes and local communities, helping them build independence, achieve personal goals, and take part in meaningful experiences. Team members are matched with consumers based on skills, personality, and interests to foster strong relationships and rewarding support experiences. The position is part-time, on-site, and pays $15 per hour. Openings are available on weekdays and weekends during the day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the consumer with personal care needs and companionship.
• Document daily activities and goals met in an electronic format.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the consumer’s family on goals that promote independence, socialization, and overall personal development.
