About The Position
Traditional Home Care, a locally owned and operated Home Care Agency, is seeking reliable, experienced direct support professionals to provide one-on-one, non-medical support to individuals diagnosed with intellectual, developmental disabilities, autism, mental health, and behavioral diagnoses. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, promoting community involvement, and ensuring their safety and well-being. The agency emphasizes flexibility, competitive pay, and a supportive work environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
- Mobile Device & EVV Requirements: Must be comfortable using smartphones or tablets and have reliable internet access.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with personal care services (bathing, grooming, dressing)
- Companionship
- Appropriate communication/social skills
- Light housekeeping and chores
- Ensuring a safe environment and teaching basic safety skills
- Meeting individual goals and outcomes
- Promoting community involvement (outings, activities, errands, etc.)
- Use a mobile device to log visits and track service hours for Electronic Visit Verification (EVV).
