Community Living DSP - Arnold Part - Time Day
About The Position
Pony Bird is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities. This is a part-time day position with a starting pay of $18.00 per hour plus differentials for evening, midnight, and weekend shifts. The role involves supporting individuals to reach their full life potential, maintaining their quality of life with dignity and respect, and assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's). The Direct Support Professional will encourage independence, serve as a positive role model, provide accurate documentation, and adhere to Individual Support Plans. A safe, clean home environment must be maintained, upholding accreditation standards and regulations. The position requires the ability to travel independently using agency vehicles for transportation and maintain attendance according to agency policy.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to follow oral and written directions and problem solve
- Ability to evacuate individuals served in the event of a fire, natural disaster, or another emergency
- Must be able to perform CPR and crisis intervention techniques
- Light computer skills to include data entry and word processing
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to be flexible to provide the needs of the individuals served

- Team-player who can also work independently
- Ability to travel independently while driving agency vehicles to provide transportation for individuals served
- Maintain attendance according to the policy of the agency and position
