About The Position

Self-Direction DSP - Fayetteville Area (Job #AMC-NM) ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Respite services for a friendly and active teenager in the Fayetteville area. Her family is looking for dedicated, reliable staff to provide support and oversight at home and in the community. Staff would accompany her on a variety of recreational outings, including going to the Zoo, The MOST, the YMCA and local playgrounds. Applicants should be patient and understanding, as she continues to work on her communication skills. We are seeking staff for after-school hours on weekdays beginning at 2:00. The end time may vary, but no later than 9:00pm. Weekend shifts may also be available. There is some flexibility with the schedule, to be discussed and decided upon with her parent. The current rate of pay is $22.50/hour Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities a plus but not a requirement. Reliable vehicle and a valid NYS driver's license are required. EFR is an Equal Opportunity Employer

Requirements

Must have a valid drivers license
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
