About The Position

Our Direct Support Professionals help adults with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities build independence, confidence, coping skills, friendships, and meaningful life experiences. This is more than a caregiving role — it’s a chance to build relationships, create fun and engaging experiences, and support people in reaching their personal goals in ways that are person-centered, respectful, and empowering. Our Direct Support Professionals empower individuals to discover their strengths, build new skills, and achieve personal goals through center and community-based services. They also provide supportive, person-centered services while following program guidelines and best practices to ensure quality care.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • No experience required
  • CPR certification (post hire if needed)
  • Valley de-escalation certification (as required)
  • Driving positions require a minimum age of 21 and a current driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing job coaching skills to adult clients with disabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

Responsibilities

  • Understand each individual’s strengths, interests, and aspirations, while working alongside them and their families to create meaningful goals for growth and lifelong learning.
  • Use creativity, encouragement, and hands-on coaching to teach life skills, social skills, and workplace readiness.
  • Teach and encourage job readiness and workplace skills through hands-on learning, coaching, and positive reinforcement.
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, mealtime support, and building independent self-care routines.
  • Collaborate with a caring, multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality support and create positive outcomes for the people we serve.
