Direct Support Professional
About The Position
Merakey is seeking mission-driven, compassionate, and reliable Direct Support Professionals for its Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Division in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. The role supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in building independence, developing social and communication skills, and navigating daily living activities. DSPs act as mentors, coaches, and advocates while helping individuals work toward personal goals and participate in community activities. No experience is required, and paid training is provided. Pay is $15.00 per hour without the Enhanced Pay option or up to $18.25 per hour with it. Evening, overnight, and weekend shifts are available.
Requirements
- A current and valid driver's license is required for community-based homes.
- Related experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living.
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
- Support life-skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
- Provide community support and transportation.
- Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support as trained.
- Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
- Support individuals in developing independence, social and communication skills, and achieving personal goals.
