Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Compassionate, patient, and dependable
Strong communication skills
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
Medication Administration certification or willingness to obtain
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic understanding of developmental disabilities and related healthcare needs.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Ability to lift and assist individuals with mobility needs as required.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable).
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

Previous DSP or caregiving experience is helpful but not required
Prior experience in direct care or support roles (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

Help individuals participate in community outings, events, and recreational activities
Support personal goals and celebrate achievements
Assist with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care
Encourage independence and confidence
Build genuine friendships and positive relationships
Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and community events
Document daily activities and progress
Work alongside families and support teams to create the best possible outcomes
Assist individuals with mobility needs as required
Complete and pass a background check per company standards
