Macon Resources Inc (MRI) serves over 800 children and adults with disabilities in the Decatur community. Direct Support Professionals are essential to MRI's mission, helping individuals gain freedom and independence by assisting them with everyday tasks, ranging from morning routines like preparing breakfast to recreational activities. This role offers a unique opportunity to be paid for making a difference in someone's life.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of Direct Support Person training in accordance with state regulations and maintain status on the Habilitation Aid Registry (training will be provided)
• Effective oral and written communication
• Access to a phone or ability to be contacted outside of work
• Positive attitude
• Willingness to learn
• Impulse to give back to the community

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with everyday tasks, including daily living activities and recreational activities.
• Help individuals gain freedom and independence.
