About The Position
Keystone Human Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide individualized, person-directed support to adults in the areas of intellectual disabilities, mental health, and autism. The role supports inclusion and helps build communities where everyone can thrive and fully participate in society. The Direct Support Professional helps create a healthy and engaging home setting, teaches and assists with daily living skills, provides personal-care assistance, and advocates for the health and wellness of the people supported.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of mental health experience.
- Effective communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle.
- Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including clearances and verifications.
Responsibilities
- Create a healthy and engaging home setting for adults receiving support.
- Teach and assist with daily living skills.
- Assist with personal care.
- Advocate for the health and wellness of the people supported.
