About The Position

Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with an individual in their early 30’s who resides in the Cayuga Area. In this role you will help the individual build independence by supporting daily living skills, encouraging personal goal setting, promoting self-advocacy, and assisting them in making choices about the activities and experiences that are meaningful to them. They have a variety of interests, including attending Spotlight Studio, a music program located in Auburn. They also enjoy visiting their mother at her nursing home in Auburn. Their hobbies and interests include music, art, anime, and animals, with a particular fondness for dogs. They often require support with transportation to medical appointments, which may be located throughout the Syracuse and Liverpool areas. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and emotionally supportive. Prior experience a plus but willing to train. Reliable transportation and a HS diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Indera is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time
• HS diploma/GED
• Technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy
