About The Position
Richmond Community Services is a nonprofit organization that has been serving the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities for over 40 years. They provide compassion, love, and support to residents and their families through an extended network of trained professionals, dedicated support-staff, volunteers, caregivers, and donors. They believe that everyone deserves to live with dignity and pride, and their home-like settings in various Westchester locations enable residents to grow and flourish while enjoying recreational and community activities. Together with knowledge, technology, medical, educational, and rehabilitative resources, they empower individuals to maximize their abilities. Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are central to providing assistance, safety, and care to help residents reach their goals.
Requirements
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's degree in a related field.
- Experience with behavior management techniques.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
