About The Position

Morrison Center is hiring a per diem Direct Support Professional (DSP) based in Scarborough, Gray, and Wells, Maine. The position supports clients in maintaining, obtaining, and managing their goals. The DSP must be willing to transport clients into the community, provide personal care, complete daily documentation, and understand community supports. The role involves hands-on and eyes-on care, including working in a client’s private home alongside the Shared Living DSP who resides there. The position pays $21 per hour and includes earned paid leave. Morrison Center is a private, non-profit organization whose mission is to provide comprehensive, individualized support services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Safety training such as Mandt or Safety Care.
Prior experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Valid Maine driver's license and a clean driving record.
Experience transferring individuals into and out of wheelchairs and using a lift.
Willingness to transport clients into the community.
Comfort working in a client's private home with the Shared Living DSP who resides there.
Good understanding of community supports.

Responsibilities
