About The Position
A 27-year-old female in the Liverpool area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist her with making healthy choices, maintain money management skills, and explore volunteer opportunities. She enjoys animals, YMCA exercise classes, shopping, getting her nails done, and connecting with others. The ideal candidate is patient, encouraging, and reassuring. The candidate must be willing to travel to various locations. The ideal candidate would be willing to participate alongside the individual during exercises classes, including pool aerobics classes. The ideal candidate must be willing to assist with personal care in a restroom setting as needed. The ideal candidate should be flexible with bringing a lunch and/or purchasing a lunch while out with the individual which the staff will be reimbursed for. This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
- Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills.
- New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.

- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
