About The Position

Merakey is seeking mission-driven, compassionate, and reliable individuals to join our team in Honeybrook, PA in our IDD Division. This is an opportunity for experienced Caregivers, Direct Care Workers, Home Health Aides, or those looking to start a meaningful career in human services. No experience is required as we provide paid training. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will work alongside a passionate team to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will help them build independence, develop social and communication skills, and navigate daily living activities like personal care, housekeeping, and community engagement. Your work involves making memories, assisting individuals in achieving personal goals, and acting as a mentor, coach, and advocate. The work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager, with reviews based on observation, resident responsiveness, living area inspection, reports, and periodic meetings. The role enhances individual independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation
Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills
Provide community support, transportation
Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support (as trained)
Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs
