About The Position
New Horizons is looking for a direct support professional employee to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their individual goals. Direct Support Professional employees may need to assist clients with household management tasks (such as meal preparation, laundry, cleaning and decorating), physical needs (such as grooming or eating), or community needs (participating in events, hobbies, recreational activities).
Requirements
- Eighteen (18) Years of Age or older
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver’s License
- Complete required training including First Aid/CPR certification
- Drug Test and TB test required
- Background report and driving record required
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with household management tasks (such as meal preparation, laundry, cleaning and decorating).
- Assist clients with physical needs (such as grooming or eating).
- Assist clients with community needs (participating in events, hobbies, recreational activities).
