Direct Support Professional - Float Position
About The Position
Crest Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a full-time float position. This role involves making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health conditions, and traumatic brain injuries. Crest Services is a faith-based, nonprofit organization with over 50 years of experience providing person-centered support in group home settings across Minnesota and Iowa. Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Dependable, compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented
- Ability to adapt to different environments and work collaboratively with a variety of teams
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in medical, caregiving, healthcare, DSP, CNA, PCA, or related fields preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation
- Encourage independence while supporting each individual's personal goals and routines
- Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful home environment
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health, behaviors, or overall well-being
- Assist with transportation to appointments, community outings, and activities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and team members to provide well-rounded support
- Provide flexible support across programs as part of the float team
