About The Position

The Reily Program is a group home for adolescents in a community setting. We are looking for direct support professionals to make a positive difference with the Consumers in our programs. Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• A minimum of three years’ experience working as a child care staff in a residential treatment center is required.
• You must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Relate with adolescents, understand what they are going through in their lives and build rapport
• Attend and accompany academic events, shopping, community integration, socialization skills, family reunification and medical visits
• Show adolescents that they can change their lives on their own by giving them direction
• Use positive reinforcement to keep adolescents on the right track and use crisis de-escalation skills when necessary
• Assist in teaching life skills, such as cooking, laundry and cleaning
• Get moving and go outside to play basketball, tennis, hiking, bean bag toss and other activities
• Lead by example and have a positive mindset
