About The Position
Merakey is seeking mission-driven, compassionate, and reliable individuals to join their team as Direct Support Professionals in Greensburg or Jeannette, PA. This role is ideal for experienced caregivers or those looking to start a meaningful career in human services, as no prior experience is required and paid training is provided. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will work alongside a passionate team to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your responsibilities will include helping them build independence, develop social and communication skills, and navigate daily living activities such as personal care, housekeeping, and community engagement. You will act as a mentor, coach, and advocate, helping individuals achieve their personal goals and create lasting memories through activities like trips to the park and sensory gardens.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must have a Valid Driver's License.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
