About The Position
ARISE is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide support to a young woman who is graduating from Le Moyne and will be attending Syracuse University for a Master’s program. The individual enjoys learning new languages, drawing, and playing video games. The DSP will assist her in becoming healthier by developing an exercise routine and accompanying her to the gym, on nature walks, and other similar physical activities. The schedule is flexible, typically involving afternoon hours, and will be worked out upon hire. The client resides in Syracuse during the academic year and in Cicero during the summer. The position offers a pay rate of $22.00 per hour. Candidates are requested to submit a resume or summary of experience.
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred
