About The Position

Sevita is seeking compassionate and patient individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. In this role, you will provide rewarding work helping people grow, learn, and live well. You will develop meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve, experience ownership and trust from leadership, and take initiative to help participants engage with the community and enjoy their favorite activities. You will support participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition, and assist with personal hygiene. This role also involves supporting individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs. Sevita offers a promising future for those who find meaning in this type of work.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Six months of experience with intellectual disabilities, behavioral health, or mental health
• Communication skills
• Adaptability
• Multi-tasking skills
• Teamwork skills
• Time-management skills
• Valid Driver's license
• Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
• Drivers License for at least 1 year (post permit)
• Clean driving record that meets Sevita’s insurability policy
• Proof of full coverage vehicle insurance and reliable personal vehicle
