About The Position
ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in the Syracuse area with a young lady who requires assistance due to a developmental delay. The family is looking for a dedicated staff to provide her with support and assist her with maintaining her independence in the community. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting with participating in activities outside of the home that are of interest of the individual. We are looking for an individual who is reliable, patient, energetic and enthusiastic. Prior experience a plus, but not required. Reliable transportation and a HS diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Work hours include Monday through Friday, starting around 2:30/3 for a few hours each evening, specifically would like services provided on Friday nights to be able to attend a dance. Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- HS diploma/GED
- Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
