Direct Support Professional
About The Position
Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on individuals' lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals. This role involves fostering pride in individuals by teaching them to navigate daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry. Work is performed under the supervision of the House Manager, with evaluations based on observation of activities, residents' responsiveness, living area inspection, reports, and periodic meetings. The role enhances independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma/G.E.D. is preferred.
- Experience in a home health aid, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
Responsibilities
