About The Position

The Vocational Training Center (VTC) of Fargo, ND is now searching for candidates with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences to join our team as full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSP). This role involves providing guidance and engagement to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities in vocational and social settings, accompanying them to off-site activities, and assisting with personal care and medication administration. The position requires maintaining flexibility in a dynamic environment and completing specific training modules.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Current driver's license

• Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

• Providing guidance to and actively engaging with adults who have intellectual/developmental disabilities in a variety of vocational and social settings
• Accompanying individuals to off-site activities
• Assisting individuals with personal care responsibilities and administering medications based on individual needs
• Supervising crews on and off-site performing a number of different vocational services
• Maintaining flexibility and composure in an ever-changing work environment
• Completing the competency-based modules as dictated by the North Dakota Department of Human Service, Developmental Disabilities Division.
