About The Position

Direct Support Professionals provide support and supervision to individuals who have developmental, mental health, or physical disabilities. This role is rewarding as it allows professionals to get to know new people, create relationships, participate in new experiences, and make a difference daily. A $350 retention bonus is offered, payable in two installments: the first after 90 days of employment, and the remaining balance at 120 days. The role involves an 'Asleep Overnight' schedule, working 7 days on and 7 days off, Wednesday to Wednesday. The pay breakdown for the overnight shift is: Working Shift (9:00 PM - 11:00 PM) at $23/hr, Sleep (11:00 PM - 6:00 AM) at $11.41/hr, and Working Shift (6:00 AM - 9:00 AM) at $23/hr.

Requirements

Be 18 years or older.
Possess a high school diploma preferred.
Have one year of experience delivering services to individuals with disabilities.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Have access to an insured vehicle.
Have a clean driving record.
Need to pass a DHS background study.
Exhibit basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Helps to establish and keep community relationships and friendships.
Assists individuals with daily routines including, but not limited to, household tasks, cooking and eating, individual self-care, socializing, use of leisure time, health and safety, money management and behavior management.
Administers medications.
Provides transportation.
Documents services and events through an online computer program.
