Direct Support Professional
About The Position
Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join their team in Slippery Rock, PA. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong desire to make a long-term impact on the lives of others, enjoying the process of encouraging, mentoring, and coaching individuals to achieve their goals. The DSP will work in various settings, fostering independence by teaching daily living activities such as personal care, housekeeping, and laundry, and assisting with social and communication skills. No experience is required as paid training is provided. The role offers an opportunity to earn up to $18/hour with the Enhanced Pay Option.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Driver's license required for community based homes.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred

Responsibilities
- Encouraging, mentoring, and coaching individuals to achieve their goals.
- Following the Individual Support Plan to work on social and communication skills.
- Fostering a sense of pride and independence in individuals.
- Teaching individuals to navigate daily living activities, such as personal care, housekeeping, and laundry.
