About The Position

Merakey is seeking compassionate, reliable, and mission-driven Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role helps individuals build independence, develop social and communication skills, and participate in daily living activities and community engagement. DSPs act as mentors, coaches, and advocates while supporting individuals in achieving their personal goals. No experience is required; paid training is provided. The position is located in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, pays $16.25 per hour with an optional additional $2 per hour through the Enhanced Pay option, and is scheduled for the second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.
• No experience is required; paid training is provided.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Related direct care experience, such as DSP, CNA, or HHA, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
• Provide community support and transportation.
• Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support as trained.
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
• Help individuals develop independence and social and communication skills and navigate daily living activities.
• Support community engagement and help individuals achieve personal goals.
