About The Position

Merakey is seeking a mission-driven, compassionate, and reliable Direct Support Professional to work in its Home and Community Division in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. The role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in building independence, developing social and communication skills, and navigating daily living activities. DSPs serve as mentors, coaches, and advocates while helping individuals pursue personal goals and participate in community activities. No prior experience is required; paid training is provided.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Support life-skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
• Provide community support and transportation.
• Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support as trained.
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
• Help individuals develop independence and social and communication skills and participate in daily living and community activities.
