Position Summary As a Direct Care Professional (Direct Support Professional), you will provide hands-on care and support to male and female residents, assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and individual goals. You will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment while supporting residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to push residents weighing up to 200 pounds in wheelchairs
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to speak, hear, and remain alert and awake for the entire shift
  • CPR and First Aid certification required (training provided if needed)
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen

  • Previous experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and supervision to residents in a residential healthcare setting
  • Assist with personal hygiene, mobility, feeding, and daily living activities
  • Support residents in achieving individual goals and fostering independence
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment
  • Follow care plans, policies, and procedures
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with residents and team members
  • Uphold confidentiality and dignity at all times
