Direct Support Professional (DSP)- FT, PT, and Overnight | Make a Real Difference!
About The Position
Northern Hills Training Center (NHTC) is a community-based provider dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to empower individuals to live meaningful, independent lives through compassionate, person-centered care and support. We are currently hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for part-time, full-time, and overnight shifts. In this role, you will provide hands-on support to individuals in their homes and community settings, helping them build independence, maintain health and safety, and achieve personal goals.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and reliable
Nice To Haves
- Experience in caregiving, healthcare, or human services is a plus (but not required)
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities (personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping)
- Support community participation (social activities, outings)
- Provide companion and emotional support
- Document services and progress accurately
- Follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
Benefits
- Wage: Part-time employees start at $17.59/hr. Full-time and Overnight Employees average $20.10/hr.
