About The Position
Indera (formerly ARISE/EFR) is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Respite services in the North Syracuse area. The individual and his family are looking for dedicated individuals to provide respite services and at times engage in activities with him including visiting the YMCA, Zoo, Get Air and the MOST as well as outdoor activities and Karate and cooking classes. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and respectful.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy
- Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities a plus
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred
