Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are responsible for providing quality care in a positive and empathetic manner to children and adults with autism, other intellectual or developmental disabilities, or those in need of neurological rehabilitation. DSPs must have a strong desire to work with individuals with autism, intellectual, and/or developmental disabilities. This role involves empowering adults to develop skills for daily life, encouraging their independence through personalized plans of care, and planning events and outings to build the Bancroft community. DSPs are part of a supportive team that holds one another accountable and communicates with residents, families, and guardians.
