About The Position

This role is with a family-oriented company that provides services to intellectually and developmentally challenged adults in their homes and community. The position involves supporting individuals as they participate in daily routines and recreational activities. Requirements

  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Relevant experience working with Individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, dual diagnoses, or forensic involvement.
  • A current driver’s license and California automobile insurance coverage for driving a personal vehicle to and from various community locations.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
  • Related experience in Assisted Living, Behavior Aide, Caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Developmentally Disabled (DD), Job Coach, Direct Support Professional (DSP), Child Care, Elderly Care, Senior Care, Hospice Care, ILS, LVN, Autism, Special Education, Special Needs, ILS, SLS, Housekeeper, Driver, Cleaner, Home Health Aides (HHAs), Residential Care Facility Staff, In-home support, Med Tech, Personal Care Attendant, Day Program Staff or Adult Day Program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Individuals with their personal needs, such as hygiene (baths/showers, changing clothes/adult briefs, teeth brushing) and medication reminders.
  • Assist Individuals with social needs, including preparing meals and cleaning.
  • Engage with Individuals through exercise/movement, games, and transporting them to community activities.
  • Keep accurate progress notes and proactively communicate information about Individuals' needs to the team.
  • Learn techniques to help Individuals have positive interactions and reach their goals.
  • Participate in all required training, team, and company meetings.
  • Take ownership of personal behaviors and help coach others in demonstrating the company's C.A.R.E. values (compassion, adaptability, respect, and empowerment).
  • Receive ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Be recognized for personal and team contributions and for demonstrating C.A.R.E. values.
