About The Position
Direct Support Professionals help individuals living with intellectual and developmental disabilities to realize their best life. Bancroft’s community-based residences for people with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities foster a stable environment where each individual can experience independence. Direct Support Professionals help those in our care to reach their highest potential, while gaining experience and learning new skills.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of six months related work experience OR Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a degree program in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Aspiration to work with autistic, intellectually and developmentally challenged individuals
- Prior experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred

- Work well in teams and are open to learning new skills.
- Availability to work weekends.
