About The Position

This is a part-time PRN position in Fort Smith, AR. The Direct Support Professional will provide quality care, direction, guidance, and help to customers with daily activities. This includes assisting with personal care, feeding, meal planning, dressing, grooming, medication management, and household tasks. The role also involves helping customers make and keep appointments, providing transportation for errands, and serving as a companion. A key aspect of the role is to help customers achieve agreed-upon goals to improve their quality of life and community integration. Daily written updates of shift activities are required using an online platform. The professional will also observe the customer's condition and surroundings to ensure safety and success, including monitoring equipment and materials. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Providing quality care, direction, guidance, and help to customers with daily activities, such as bathing and bathroom functions, feeding, planning menus, dressing, grooming, taking medication and/or administering treatments, and housework.
• Help customers make and keep appointments, provide or arrange transportation to run errands and serve as a companion.
• Help customer achieve agreed-upon goals to improve quality of life and integration into the community.
• Provide written daily updates of each shift’s activities using an online platform.
• Observe the customer’s condition and monitor the surroundings to ensure customer safety and success. This includes monitoring of equipment and materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
