About The Position

Lifetime Assistance is hiring a Residential Direct Support Professional to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role helps individuals build independence, dignity, and purpose through personal care, daily living support, safety, skill development, and community participation. No prior experience is required. The position is listed as full time at 32 hours per week, with a schedule of 6 a.m.–9 a.m. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 3 p.m.–9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The starting wage is $21.55 per hour.

Requirements

• No prior experience is required.
• Must meet Lifetime Assistance’s Vehicle Operator requirements, except for overnight or relief shifts.
• Must have First Aid/CPR, SCIP-R, and Medication Administration certifications, or be able to obtain them.
• Must pass all required background checks and clearances, including SCR, Fingerprinting, SEL, and MHL.
• Ability to follow individualized plans and safety protocols.
• Basic computer literacy for documentation in the Electronic Health Record.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and adaptability.
• Dependable, friendly, caring, and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, meals, and household tasks such as thorough cleaning.
• Support individuals in developing independence, self-help, and social skills.
• Promote individuals’ health, safety, and well-being, including administering medication when certified.
• Implement individualized service plans and daily supports, and document progress.
• Encourage community integration and participation in social and recreational activities.
• Drive agency vehicles for transportation as needed.
• Maintain positive, professional communication with individuals, families, and colleagues.
• Complete required training, certifications, and ongoing professional development.
