Direct Support Professional ES-JA
About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with a school-aged boy in the Liverpool, NY area who has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The ideal candidate will be responsible, punctual, and hands-on, providing up to 18 hours of support per week. Services can be provided in the home and community, engaging the individual in activities he enjoys such as park visits, dining out, movies, swimming, and visiting places like Get Air. The role involves picking him up from the school bus daily, ideally between 3pm and 5pm, Monday through Friday. The individual is described as happy, active, and easy-going.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at the scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
Nice To Haves
- Experience is preferred.
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
Responsibilities
- Pick up the individual from the school bus daily.

- Supervise and assist the individual with daily activities.
- Ensure the individual's safety and well-being.
