About The Position

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals for its program in Ambler, Pennsylvania. The role supports individuals in a variety of settings and focuses on helping them work toward their goals and develop independence. Following each individual’s Individual Support Plan, Direct Support Professionals encourage, mentor, and coach individuals while supporting social and communication skills. Activities may include spending time at parks and sensory gardens, assisting with hygiene and personal care, and teaching daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry. No experience is required; paid training is provided. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., at $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.
• No experience is required; paid training is provided.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting or a school setting working with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities
